1．檢查生詞及短語（在教學(xué)中，可考慮將Lesson10和Lesson11合并在一起進(jìn)行）。

2教師給出讀前提問：1）Go over the passage quickly and find out some American English words and expressions． 2） Which differences are greater， the differences in the spoken language or the differences in the written language？

教師給學(xué)生數(shù)分鐘，要求學(xué)生快速閱讀課文（默讀）。之后請同學(xué)回答上述問題。

3．放課文錄音，學(xué)生跟讀一至兩遍。教師就課文內(nèi)容提問（可參閱書后練習(xí)冊中所列問題），檢查學(xué)生的理解程度．

4．教師用投影儀打出以下statements，要求學(xué)生判斷其正誤。并對錯誤的statements進(jìn)行修改。

學(xué)生先在小組內(nèi)交流并相互啟發(fā)、補(bǔ)充，然后教師組織學(xué)生用自己的語言描述英國英語和美國英語的區(qū)別。要求學(xué)生盡量連貫地講述。

6．布置作業(yè)1）復(fù)述課文；2）完成練習(xí)冊中所安排的練習(xí)。

注：如果條件允許，教師也可事先將以上表格印好，在課上發(fā)給學(xué)生，這樣效果更好。
