With the rapid process of modernization, computer becomes more and morepopular. Nowadays, almost every family has a computer. Because of computers, ourdaily life is improving.
Computer has a great effect on our daily life. In the first place, computerhas so many functions. As we have computers, we needn't buy books, radios, TVsand any other things, because computer can take place of them. Secondly, surfingon the Internet must be very interesting. Through the Internet, we can doeverything we like. Thirdly, thanks to the Internet, we can get the furthereducation at any time, so we don't have to get up so early in winter days.
However, a coin has two sides, because it's new doesn't mean it's alwaysgood. At present, most students spend too much time on computer games. I don'tthink it's a good phenomenon, because it will do great harm to our eyes as wellas our health if we play computer games all the time.
In my opinion, we should use the computers in the right way. For instance,we can read the latest news on the internet to know the world better; read thee-books to enrich our knowledge or download some useful information for ourwork. We can also make different friends on the Internet, so that our life willbe colorful. I believe computers will be our best friends if we make good use ofthem.

Computers are affordable for almost all people nowadays. As a result, anincreasing number of college students take computers to their dormitory tobrowse website, watch movies and play video games and so on. This phenomenon hascaused lots of public concern. Some people believe that computer does bad tostudents’ health for college students spend more than five hours staring atcomputer without break every day. However, for other people, they are positiveto students’ owing computers because students can search for the newestinformation. Standing on my point, I’m more tending to the first opinion.Reasons are as the following:
Firstly, computers will transfer students’ attention. If students takecomputers on campus, they would spend much time on computer than on study. Forinstance, lots of my classmates usually play computer for amusement once classis dismissed instead of going to the library to read more books to enlarge theirknowledge circle.
Secondly, students spend lots of time on computers which hurts theirhealth. It is quite often seen that students stay in dormitory for almost awhole day without any breaks playing computers. It is all known that computershave radiation which hurts eyes and skin.
To be honest, students can use computer to search for the updatedinformation that they want. But for the reasons above, I firmly believe thatstudents shouldn’t bring computers to college.
